#Digitalia: Staying in Touch
University of Oregon BFA thesis exhibition,
Digital modes of communication, such as Skype and Facebook, are transforming the landscape and dissemination of present-day interactions. Through dissection and comparison, this work explores the boundaries of the digital experience in relation to the somatic. Utilizing video, performance, photography, and installation, it draws from the inherent limitations of digital communications: highlighting the moments of rupture and abstraction that transform the quality of our experiences as mediated through these technologies.
